RIP Spike

So I took my dogs out like usual before work and there were some dogs in the retention area so we went and played with them. Spike was totally fine...running. playing. the usual. APPARENTLY when my p's got home from work Spike was slow and not himself...so they took him to an emergency animal hospital after dinner. They ran tests and everything was fine. X-rays, blood work...they did find some liquid in his abdomen/stomach that was pink that they were concerned about. Meanwhile...I'm at work not knowing any of this is going on. The hospital said they would keep him overnight to make sure they couldnt find anything else, and before my parents left the hospital he DIED. no warning. nothing. the doctors did say he didnt look good and to say goodbye before they left and literally after they left the room he just died. Of course I see that my dad called as soon as I get out of work and he tells me to come to some random place and I ask what happened and he told me. I thought he was joking at first, but no. So i drove to the animal hospital to say goodbye and that was it. No one saw it coming and it's so sad. I'm sure Brandy will be lost without him. I've never had a pet like him die before. Maybe my guinea pig Cindy back sophomore year of h.s. She was pretty smart and could open her cage by herself, but no dog will ever be the same as Spikey. He was so smart and even though i annoyed the hell out of him, know he loved it.

Spikey...you will be missed. <3

beer and sleep.

this is what i get for drinking beer before bed. i had a dream last night that i went to the pet shop to get a new puppy...but this pet shop was at someones house...and they had dogs running around everywhere and i sat on the floor and 3 of the puppies came and peed on me. Then i found one i thought i liked and it turned out to be a koala bear. wtf? it grabbed onto my finger cuz it was so tiny...like a tree...and thats all i remember. now i want a puppy.

training day 1

i had my first day of training at the grotto tonight and it went well..besides the fact that our party of 15 didnt show up and we didnt get sat at 2 different tables til after 8. but i got an idea of how things go and it seems like it will be a decent job. i STILL dont know if i will be working on saturday which is reallllllly irritating me because I REALLLLY wanna go to dekalb for the homecoming game and there will be more alumni up there than usual and people that i want to see. im a food runner tomorrow night which will be interesting since i have never carried a tray before really...besides a small one with some drinks. ARM MUSCLES...get ready for a workout. woooo. besides my ridiculous uniform im excited for the job. i think thats it for now. im tired and its cold in my room and im ready for bed. i need to go shopping tomorrow for some black shoes that r comfortable to work in and possibly another pair of black pants.

So I played with my make up and hair and camera and webcam for like an hour and a half and this is some of the stuff i came up with. i tried on leotards and dresses too but those pics arent on my comp yet. i even made a hair bow. :-)

i got my roots done today and decided that tonight im gonna play dress up and make up and be lady gaga to see if its a possible halloween costume. ill take pics and see what everyone thinksssss!

I had a fun weekend. The Blackhawks won their game I went to with my parents on Friday. It was close and I think they'll have a rough season without Khabi, but it'll still be fun to go. IF I ever get to go with the new job. IF I ever start. :-) I still haven't gotten my training times yet and have played phone tag with the guy or guys that is/are supposed to be scheduling me...I'm calling tomorrow if I don't hear anything later tonight. I went to Northern for the football game Saturday and got to officially tailgate. Last time I went we didn't really tailgate...this time we were outside that stadium "tailgating." It was fun. I saw old friends and even though Northern lost it was a good time. Then Karen, Annie and I decided to have our own bar crawl thru downtown Dekalb and end at Molly's followed by food from F & J's and stopping by some people's houses we know. Yesterday I came home pretty early and did nothing the whole day besides watch the Bears game and go out to eat for my parents/grandparents anniversaries. woo woo. I had PT this morning and it went pretty well. I think I still have 10 more sessions to go and possibly more after that. I hope its feeling better after this. Ugh. OTH and Greek are on tonight, and I'm kinda excited. If you haven't watched this video yet...you should. it's not me...for once. and its amaZing. I'd say better than Lady Gaga.
